Docbook website v3.0
Not sure what started this, but some time back the question arose as to whether the docbook variant called 'Website' was still alive. Not an unreasonable question, it's a long time since it was updated. I use it for my website and thought it a reasonable project to undertake. When I mentioned it on the docbook list Dick Hamilton mentioned he was interested, so together we've just finished moving it over to the namespaced docbook (v5) variant. Not yet added to the Sourceforge svn service, but that will come.
I've documented it here if you're interested.
As is often the case Norm is ahead of the game, yet again he's not quite got round to documenting his work. (Rightly IMHO) he wasn't too happy with the tabular layout, and with the development and availability of good (or at least better) CSS support, his .name site now uses yet another version of Website that he hasn't yet distributed. We agreed that once our version is up and running we'd take a look at how he had re-worked it. Seems fair enough.
All I need to do now is move my website over to v5 markup!
