Amazon sub-shops

Unsure if that's what they are called, but Amazon appear to rely quite heavily on other suppliers selling through Amazon.

Availability: In stock. Dispatched from and sold by ..

I went onto the site this morning and received good prices on three items. Off to checkout... there's my list. Three items. Suspiciously low price. Looked harder. Three items listed but price and delivery cost for the first one only. They don't even ask you for that nasty one click thing these days. I'd bought from them recently, they clearly keep the cc number to hand (securely I hope) all ready to make that last click. Not knowing what the p+p costs would be I declined and went shopping for a clearer display of costs.

I've no doubt had I hit 'finish' all three items (with three delivery costs) would have been charged to my cc. Deceptive isn't it? Some items actually quite confusing. How about this

Amazon.co.uk Order Summary
Items: £9.16
Postage & Packing: £2.75

Total before VAT: £11.91
VAT:* £0.00
Order Total: £11.91
Why didn't I qualify for free Super Saver Delivery?
Amazon.co.uk Marketplace Order Summary
Items: £7.98
Postage & Packing: £0.00
Promotion Applied: -£0.00
Total: £7.98

Confusing or what? Two P&P items, one zero, the other 2.75.

Whilst I'm moaning, the other option I hate to see. I find a product, like the price, go to checkout, and the site asks for my cc details before telling me how much I owe. This is one such. I really don't know if they are aware (yes I mailed them) but it leaves me twitchy. Thankyou sir. That'll be x for the item and 5x for the P&P. When they already have my cc details? No way.
