Progress with Dvorak

Oh well, it had to be done. This is my first post using the dvorak keyboard layout. Reminds me of those early days, learning to type, when things ground to a halt, the brain froze, the eyes scour the keyboard for some letter, after which, progress is resumed. Worse, using emacs, all those key combinations which fell so naturally to hand are no longer there. M-q? Nope. Add to that the extras of writing in xml and it adds up to quite a mental struggle.

C-c <RTN>, including the entity, is a bit hard too. This being only the second piece of clear text I've written, I'm beginning to notice another aspect of using the dvorak layout. My fingers (hands)? are relatively static. With qwerty, my hands rarely remained 'still', always seeming to be jumping here and there. I guess this is the realisation of the efficiency of dvorak.

I can't speak highly enough of Klavaro, the typing tutor I'm using. Thorough, simple and seemingly doing the job for me.
