First time in about 30 years, I climbed on a bus today! Courtesy of my local public transport company. Since I turned a certain age, I was given a free bus pass (as per recent UK legislation). I'd been looking for a reason to use it ever since and today was the day. I'd looked up the times, found the busses frequent, so just wandered down to the stop (about 5 mins from home). Bus showed up within about 7 minutes. Twenty minutes later I was in the town centre! A chance to stare out of the window and see lots more than I normally would glancing from the car window! A hour in town and I picked up another one coming home with almost no wait and I was back home with a grin on my face. Novel!

I like (this bit) of public transport. You can keep your LAX and LHRs. Local busses are good!
