I've just spent the last few days scratching an itch, as goes the phrase in Open software circles. I've been building docbook docs with varying degrees of customization for some time now and every time I have to start again with build files and links to my installed docbook stylesheets and one thing and another. In particular the need to set up another directory full of docbook images just for this instance has irritated me.

Anyway, now I have shared what I think is enough to get anyone started styling, customizing and organizing a docbook build. It is here, on my website. Enjoy. Feedback appreciated as usual. What have I forgotten?
