What I mean by that is... the way the broad categories of tweets (and blogs) that I read and keep on my 'to read' list, is subtly changing over time. With both blogs and tweets, I started out reading those whose opinions I respected or who seem to have access to news in which I may be interested. Then someone posts a link to a new blog, or @someone, then off I go and read that, think hey that's interesting, and subscribe. Some of these turn out to be off topic posts and I find myself unsubscribing if the poster |blogger is prolific. Others gradually drift up my priority list until I find myself looking for their tweets|blog entries. I find this strange and quite illuminating, refreshing and indicative of what might be interests to which I'm reluctant to admit.
Kind of like some psychometric test that suddenly announces that you shouldn't really be a geek but French Philosophy or bagging Munroes or Eng Lit would be a better career path for you! Surprising, but in this case, self selected, if that's the right words. What you need is an eclectic bunch of bloggers|twits who also have outside interestes. Try a few of these and you too may find some really interesting reading.
Just a thought.
