My previous piece mentioned an 'extra' done by Kreg, named the material support stop. Had I been able to, I'd have probably bought one. Instead I knocked one up last night. This is it, not pretty but IMHO more effective than the Kreg option, if a little more finicky to set up. It has the advantage of providing a solid edge into which repeat workpieces can be pushed to attain identical pockets. This shows the longer edge, compared to the (adjustable) screw end in the Kreg product.
This is my solution to the unclear marking by Kreg. Rub over the detents of the markings with paint, wipe off and it sticks in the lettering. Far more legible.
Oddity. I very carefully ensured my support stop was vertically aligned. When I look at the workpiece clamped into the Kreg jig, I note there is a drift, top to bottom. This makes the drill angle very slightly less steep. Unsure if this is by design or accident.
