This document describes a process to create a small website suitable for saving to CD, for use by a browser, from a set of photographs. The end result is a number of web-pages which allow the photographs to be searched by picture title or persons name within a photograph.
Who it's for. Basically XML geeks. Involves directory processing and uses a little Python script and some XML editing.
What is it for? Sorry. I'm using a couple of utilities which are Linux only, so you're on your own if you want to use it with Windows. The utilities are 'identify' from image magic, which is available for windows. The other one is the shell scripting itself. I'm sure it's possible other ways, just that its so easy in Linux.
